Scholarships

At the 2007 Annual Meeting, it was announced that the Alaska Academy of Physician Assistants scholarship would be renamed to the Jessica Stevens Memorial Scholarship. Jessica Stevens, PA-C, died in an automobile accident near Talkeetna on June 20, 2007. Jessica was instrumental in establishing a viable and accessible health care system in Talkeetna. She was also active in the academy and served on the Board of Directors.

Up to two scholarships are awarded each year to PA students in the amount of $500 each. Scholarship recipients are announced at the Academy's Fall CME Conference. Students are encouraged to apply and can click here to download the application (pdf).

This year's application deadline is September 6, 2010.
