  • Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners or physicians assistants
  • Appropriate licensing / registration
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in sleep; however, willing to train the right graduate candidate
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers
  • Must be licensed (or eligible) in Alaska and have DEA licensing within 90 days of employment.

The MEDEX Physician Assistant Program at the University of Washington seeks a PA faculty member at its Anchorage training site.  This is a full-time clinical coordinator position.  Primary faculty responsibilities include clinical rotation development predominantly in Alaska; proficient email communication skills and a willingness to travel extensively within the state of Alaska to maintain and/or develop clinical rotation sites is required and supported.  The ideal applicant will have experience working with a variety of health systems and enjoy maintaining relationships with our clinical partners.

Other duties include managing student placements during the second (clinical) year, maintaining and developing the clinical year curriculum, and supervising end-of-rotation activities. The successful candidate will also assist with other aspects of the program, including recruitment, advising/evaluating students during every aspect of their training, admissions work, and scholarly activity.

Teaching experience in the clinical setting and classroom is recommended.  A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree is preferred.  Current NCCPA certification and two years of clinical experience are required.  Rank to be determined by qualifications; this is a non-tenure track position.
