Our Physician Assistants provide preventative, primary, emergency, and on call care and work as a team with other health care providers, CI, CHA/P and first response team to ensure continuity and quality community health care.

Our communities are warm, eclectic and inviting to both singles and families. These community settings offer many activities and close-knit support in which to raise families and participate in many cultural opportunities.

Populations are as diverse as our patients, with sites ranging from 70-900 members. World class fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking and hunting are just out your front door.

These communities also have excellent public school systems and University of Alaska access by distance at most sites. Loan repayment is also available.

  • We offer a $65,500 to $100,000 yearly base salary + up to $10,000 in relocation expenses paid/reimbursed;
  • Your benefits would include, Health, Dental, Vision, STD and Life Insurance;
  • 13 paid holidays;
  • 8 hours of PTO earned per pay period worked (26 pay periods or 208 hours of leave earned per year);
  • 403(b) employee only retirement account;
  • 401(a) employer only pension plan (equivalent of 5% of your yearly income contributed per year – 6 month waiting period and 3 year vesting period);
  • $2,500 + 5 paid days for CME’s, and free CME’s through EAT and ANMC;
  • Plus the possibility of up to $25,000 in loan repayment through National Health Service Corp or Indian Health Services as our locations qualify for Loan Repayment through both organizations.

 

Qualifications:  Alaska licensed Physician Assistant, Certified with at least 2 years experience in primary and Emergency Care, BLS and ACLS certification with experience in Rural cross culture setting preferred.

Postition Description : Provide comprehensive cost effective acute and chronic primary and preventative health care to patients and their families within scope of training, capabilities and license criteria as a health care provider.  To include but not limited to:  counseling of chronic and infectious disease patients, treatment and medical care management, coordinating with services of other local and regional providers, conducts support groups, health education and health promotion activities in subjects related to physical and emotional health, functions as patient advocate, conduct follow-up care and coordinate care with other health care providers and makes appropriate referrals for continuity of care.

Postition Description : General duties to include evaluations on patients of all ages, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab, x-ray, and special duties as assigned. Establishing a working diagnosis based upon acquired data and developing a treatment plan. Implement therapeutic intervention and provide appropriate follow-up care.
