Board of Directors
The Alaska Academy of Physician Assistants is modeled after the AAPA and has a Board of Directors consisting of President, President-Elect, Past-President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, 2 Members at Large and 2 Delegates.

Nominations are now being accepted for the following Alaska Academy of Physician Assistant Board of Director positions:
- President Elect
- 2 Two Year Members at Large
- Jr. House of Delegates Representative
- Secretary/Treasurer

All members of the board are required to attend all Board of Director meetings. Board members may be excused for up to two meetings a year. Typically there are three face to face board meetings each year occurring in January, July and October during the All-Alaska Medical Conference. All other business is conducted by teleconference.
To be eligible to run for office, a candidate must:
- Be a Fellow member of the Alaska Academy of Physician Assistants (this requires that the individual reside in the State of Alaska, is a current American Academy of Physician Assistants member and is eligible for a license to practice in Alaska).
- Accept the nomination for office.
Fellow members are encouraged to self nominate!
